Kelly Neville
Kelly has been working with wood, large and small, for the last 20 years. Moving from the UK to Salt Spring Island in 2010, for the majority of the preceeding years he worked simultaneously on traditional Oak timberfame building, furniture making and carving. A major UK TV company followed his most recent Oak and straw bale roundhouse as it was built over a period of 2 years. It was voted best regional new build in 2008 by the Association of Building Control (LABC), and was made a fellow of the Royal society for the Arts in the same year. Since moving to Salt Spring Island and having completed the building of his 5th house, Kelly is indulging his pleasure in exploring the new range of raw materials the West Coast offers, and has launched Coarse Ground Raw Chocolate, an artisan chocoate box made from freshly ground raw cocoa beans and honey, from his small purpose built chocolate kitchen at home.
